✈️ The Airport Theory of Creativity
Why we think clearer when we’re between places.

I’ll be honest, today almost didn’t happen.
I’m somewhere between moving homes, living out of half-packed boxes, trying to remember where I left my toothbrush and what day it is. The exhaustion of being in-between places has finally caught up with me. I’ve felt destabilised, disoriented, and mostly just frustrated.
It’s funny though. As I sat on my bedroom floor surrounded by heaps of clothes, I realised this feeling reminded me of the airport. You know…that strange, suspended space where you’re no longer where you came from, but not yet where you’re headed. You’re just there, waiting, watching, in transit.
And that’s when it clicked again: the in-between might actually be where creativity lives.
